back in october (yeah i said october), we went to chuck e cheese and had lots o fun! and grayson is getting better with chuckee. nnow he will still scream in terror, but after that, he will wave at him and talk about him on the way home as if he and chuck e were best buds.

4 months later

i finally decided to update this pitiful excuse of a blog. these next posts might be as old as october, but i wanted to catch up and most of the photos will be from the i phone (really bad quality)
First up is a video of grayson and josh working out.

Saturday fun

I know everyone loves Saturdays, but for me, Sautrdays can be slow, long, and boring cause Brad has to work all day, and we miss him. But lately, our friend Allison has come to the rescue. We had so much fun Saturday shopping and just talking. Here is a pic from her phone...

Welcome!

First post of the new family blog!!!! Many people ask if I can get then pics, or if they can copy and paste my pics. Here you can! Friends and family (only) can download them, copy paste or whatever. These will not be edited or proofed in anyway. Just plain ole pics. The only exception is if they have the tabby art logo on them. Hope you enjoy our blog! Please leave comments!

These pics are from a recent trip to the fire station. Now, Grayson loves all things boy, including trucks; however, when we arrived, Grayson started freaking out! For no apparent reason. He cried just about the whole time. Just look at everyone else having a blast...and look at Grayson.

First day at a new school!

Grayson had his first day at his new school today. I thought he was going to freak out but he surpirsed me and only cried for less than a minute. When I left, he went to Chapel, created some cute art work and got some candy for cleaning up. Thursday, he will go to music. When I picked him up he was so happy! I am so glad he is finally adjusting to being left with others.

Hold on!

I love having these little men as close as they are. They play, laugh and have so much fun with each other. Here they are riding the motorcycle together. Sigh... so sweet...

Picaso?

Me and the boys went up to Brad's job to get a free car wash and to see daddy for a little while. While in dad's office, Grayson turned Picaso on us and created this....

Yep, that's a smiley face.

football stars and grandpas...

when down in montgomery, we visited grandpa and had a mini Christmas while there. After Christmas Big Daddy (My daddy and the first of the photos), came and visited us. the 2nd pic was just a cute little brotherly love moment. The last photo is a random pic from some alabama football stars i have no clue about. brad made me take a pic of him with the boys and the "stars". my friends and brad (alabama geeks) tell me that these were some pretty impressive football players. ha! impressive?!?! try doing a back flip on a balance beam 5 inches wide --now that's impressive.

our mini vacation

this was our first tim being without the kids for this long, and we were sooooooooo excited. after dropping the kids of at grandmas, we went to atlanta and stayed in a fancy hotel for 2 nights. while there, we went to the aquarium, cnn center, ikea, shopping, and got lost about two hundred and thirty two times. it was super fun and i cant wait till we get do it again. we are going to try to go this summer for our anniversary to the bahamas. any takers on babysitting?

daddy day

brad took the boys to the park on new years while i was finishing up some proofing. look closely at what the boys had on. that's right, grayson is wearing his cars pajama top, and jeans. hart is wearing a pajama top, hoodie, and sweat pants. when i asked brad why he had them dressed as they were, he said "what? they match". daddy's have no clue.

Christmas at the cooks

this year, we decided to have christmas at our house. maamaw (my mom), tt (my sis), josh (my bro), angie (my aunt), and tj (my cuz) all celebrated with us. it was a great, QUIET, stress free Christmas and i LOVED it. here are some i phone picks of the tree and some of the decorations. i would say that i will post some from my real camera, but that would probably be a lie...

Snow

hartley experienced his first snow last sunday. grayson has now seen snow 3 times in his 2 years. that just about the same amount of times i have seen snow. grayson had a blast and played with our neighbors and brad for the longest. he played so long, i though he was going to get hypothermea. hartley wasnt too fond of the snow - or maybe it was all the clothing we had on him. he could barely move and we all agreed that he looked like the little boy from a Christmas Story movie. You know, the one who's arms stuck straight out form all the clothing.
Grayson's snow ball. He loved to throw them at us!

Didn't quite work out...

Well, after an exhausting week of waking up at 4 and 5 in the morning, having Grayson fall asleep anywhere and everywhere (including during dinner at a restaurant), and having him take 10 minute naps at his actual nap time, we have decided to "fix" Grayson's bed. Hopefully, after this week of pure H- E double hockey sticks, we and he will be able to get some sleep. because really, I don't want to end up shipping Grayson to some deserted island. I am quite sure that he will be in a crib until he is 10 years old if he doesn't learn how to wake up at a decent hour or at least be quiet during the wee hours. Seriously, isn't he too old for this? I thought newborns were supposed to wake up at all times of the night/morning. Better luck next time-7 yrs from now.

Happy Valentines Day!

The big boy bed

Wednesday, we transitioned Grayson into a big boy bed (his crib without the rail). When I was taking his crib apart, he said "mommy! you broke it!" Later on that night we waited until Brad came home to put him to bed. He did pretty good, and freaked out only once. But, he woke up extra early (i don't like that part).

He's been waking up so early lately, that during the day, he will just fall asleep anywhere and at unpredictable times. He is asleep now on the chair as I type this. Don't mind his makeshift bedding, his was being washed at the time.

Valentine's Party

Thursday was grayson's valentines party at school. They had happy meals for lunch and they decorated cookies.

After that, they passed out their valentines to one another. It was so fun to see Grayson having fun with his friends. He's always talking about school and I wondered why he liked it so much but he has some good little friends in his class and enjoys playing with them. His teacher kept saying that he was very polite, well behaved, very smart for his age. He is in the older 2s room so he is the youngest in the class by far, but he is one of 3 that are already potty trained. So I'm very proud of my little man.

Brad: Gray Gray! I think you are just about potty trained!

Grayson: I sure am! Choo Choo!
