Snow

hartley experienced his first snow last sunday. grayson has now seen snow 3 times in his 2 years. that just about the same amount of times i have seen snow. grayson had a blast and played with our neighbors and brad for the longest. he played so long, i though he was going to get hypothermea. hartley wasnt too fond of the snow - or maybe it was all the clothing we had on him. he could barely move and we all agreed that he looked like the little boy from a Christmas Story movie. You know, the one who's arms stuck straight out form all the clothing.
Grayson's snow ball. He loved to throw them at us!

Didn't quite work out...

Well, after an exhausting week of waking up at 4 and 5 in the morning, having Grayson fall asleep anywhere and everywhere (including during dinner at a restaurant), and having him take 10 minute naps at his actual nap time, we have decided to "fix" Grayson's bed. Hopefully, after this week of pure H- E double hockey sticks, we and he will be able to get some sleep. because really, I don't want to end up shipping Grayson to some deserted island. I am quite sure that he will be in a crib until he is 10 years old if he doesn't learn how to wake up at a decent hour or at least be quiet during the wee hours. Seriously, isn't he too old for this? I thought newborns were supposed to wake up at all times of the night/morning. Better luck next time-7 yrs from now.

Happy Valentines Day!

The big boy bed

Wednesday, we transitioned Grayson into a big boy bed (his crib without the rail). When I was taking his crib apart, he said "mommy! you broke it!" Later on that night we waited until Brad came home to put him to bed. He did pretty good, and freaked out only once. But, he woke up extra early (i don't like that part).

He's been waking up so early lately, that during the day, he will just fall asleep anywhere and at unpredictable times. He is asleep now on the chair as I type this. Don't mind his makeshift bedding, his was being washed at the time.

Valentine's Party

Thursday was grayson's valentines party at school. They had happy meals for lunch and they decorated cookies.

After that, they passed out their valentines to one another. It was so fun to see Grayson having fun with his friends. He's always talking about school and I wondered why he liked it so much but he has some good little friends in his class and enjoys playing with them. His teacher kept saying that he was very polite, well behaved, very smart for his age. He is in the older 2s room so he is the youngest in the class by far, but he is one of 3 that are already potty trained. So I'm very proud of my little man.
